Hey my loves!!! So I’m back in Cape Town and this time of year always makes the weather in the Mother City extremely bipolar. Like honestly, we go through 4 different seasons in like one morning. It’s so difficult to dress up or plan your day with such weather and honestly it’s really been getting on my nerves lately. I realised that I’m not the only one so today I wanna share with you how you can easily layer up during this season so that you constantly look fab through all the 4 seasons you may experience in a day.
I’ve never been the biggest fan of bomber jackets and even now that I have more than a couple I still struggle to fit them into my outfits and chic style. I always found them so big and bulky-looking and not in a good way. However, fashionistas like Aisha Baker who like live in bomber jackets have really been helping me find ways to incorporate them into my style. A plus about them is that they are super super warm! For this look, I decided to layer up with two of my bomber jackets, both of which I’ve never worn.
Another tip to look stylish and fun in winter would be to wear bright colours. You all know I love bright colours. The yellows, reds and oranges do such heavenly things to my dark skin! There was definitely no doubt that I’d choose this orange bomber jacket when shopping for winter jackets earlier this year. I also recently braided my hair ( and I MUST add, I did it all by myself) and decided to get crazy with the BLUE! I love the contrast of the blue and orange. I think it makes me look so funky even in the cold weather.
Once I take the orange one off, I have the black sleeveless one underneath which is perfect when the sun decides to slightly shine through. Wearing a polo neck underneath will ensure you’re warm throughout the day even when you decide to get rid of all the jackets.
What do you guys think of this look? I’d love to know in the comment section. Also, what other tips do you have for layering during this season?
Make sure to check out the look book video as well which is now live on my YouTube channel.
Until next time
