Hey guys! Just wanted to check in with you guys again… How was your weekend? I hope you all had a blast. Mine was super chilled. I was with family for most of it, spent the rest of it at the salon and at church. I really wanted to attend Koroga Festival today especially because I’ve never been but unfortunately things didn’t work out as planned. Hopefully, the next time I’m back in Nairobi later this year or early next year I’ll get a chance to attend. I’ve only been home for 2 weeks and it saddens me to think that in less than two weeks I’ll be gone again. However, I’m just taking time to appreciate everything about being at home and making the most out of the time I have here. Catch me enjoying our beautiful garden, eating delicious Kenyan dishes, bonding with my lovely family, attending cool events and new places or visiting old friends. I shot these photos in our garden a few days after I had landed. I love this ankara top because it was one of the first tops I ever sewed for myself long before the whole craze of off-shoulder ruffle tops came about. Talk about being a trend-setter right? lol. The skirt is thrifted from Toi Market.
I’m coming at you tomorrow with a village experience blog post and vlog. Make sure you’re subscribed to my YouTube channel. I also shot a GRWM (Get Ready With Me) and Lookbook vlog for this look so check it out on my YouTube channel down below. Don’t forget to subscribe 🙂
Until next time
