Hey guys!!! I attended the Cape Town carnival last weekend at the Fan Walk in Green Point. It’s an annual, free street party and parade where creatives get to showcase their work. It featured dancers, singers, fashionistas, artists, musicians, you name it. I was in awe from all the creative work that was showcased during the 2 and a half hour walk along Green Point. Also, the various shows celebrated cultural diversity as they showed creative work from different cultures. The Indian singing and dancing show had to be my best. It was just so graceful and stunning. The theme of this year’s carnival was Amaza! ~Ocean Odyssey to celebrate  aquatic life. I have been to 2 previous carnivals in Cape Town in 2013 and in 2014 but never really dressed up for any of them. I decided to dress up for this one and bought a masquerade mask. My aim was to look like a princess mermaid with the combination of the colors pink and purple.I had an amazing time at the parade with my girlfriends and I’m so thankful I get to experience such cool things. The beautiful lady pictured with me above is one of my close friends Kalemela who is such a talented artist. Check out her Instagram here. I would have shot a vlog but I sadly forgot my camera charger in Nairobi and I’m saving the current battery charge for Mercedes Benz Fashion week vlogs this week. However, I shared a lot of my experience on my Instagram story and Snapchat(@teshieogallo) so make sure to follow me on both these platforms and not miss out on any of the fun!

Today is a public holiday in South Africa as we celebrate Human Rights. It’s also like 34 degrees and I’m just boiling in my bed while writing out this article. I should really be sipping cocktails on some beach somewhere but I’m getting my body prepared for the next few days. I will be at Camps Bay Beach where I’ll be attending Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Cape Town 2017. I am so grateful to AFI (African Fashion  International) for inviting me for a number of shows and I can’t wait to share more about it with you in the next few posts. Who else will be attending? I would love to meet you.

Good bye for now and I hope to catch up with you all real soon.

Until next time
